THE WAREHOUSE ( BELGRADO/SERBIA ) 2017.
For days, temperatures are far below zero degrees in Serbia part of the Balkan route that refugees to try to reach Europe. Refugees without shelter try to survive under extreme conditions like here in this warehouse near the station in Belgrado. About 6000 refugees and migrants are divided in Serbia across 16 refugee camps, but approximately 1500/2000 people are living without fixed place. They sleep on the streets under a parking lot, in abandoned houses or warehouses. This reportage was made on assignment for Stichting Vluchteling in January 2017.

The conditions in which they refugees are living there are very extreme, there is no electricity and no water. It can be extremely cold in this abandoned building.
Due to the fact that it is so called they have to make fires inside the warehouse to get warmer.

Among the refugees also many teenagers are living in the warehouse as well. Some are on their own some and some are travelling with other men.
They gathered all kind of furnitures to make their spot to sleep inside the warehouse.
